Over the past eleven years, the generous sponsors, donors, attendees and volunteers of the St. Mary’s Legacy Gala (formerly the Mardi Gras Gala) have raised over $1.7 million dollars for St. Mary’s Catholic School.

  • Provided remaining funds needed to purchase new bus

  • Provided new books, bookshelves and circulation desk for the library

  • Purchased interactive boards for every classroom

  • Refinished gym flooring

In addition to the above, funds raised via St. Mary’s Legacy Gala (formerly the Mardi Gras Gala) have been used to provide:

  • Complete renovation of restrooms in elementary building at the football concession stand

  • New water fountains with water bottle filling stations

  • New interior stair covering in elementary building and portion of highschool building

  • New lighting in classrooms

  • IXL - Individualized and adaptive learning site for kids to enrich their math and science skills

  • Academic competition support

  • Painting of school name and mascot on school bus

  • SMART or CleverTouch interactive boards in every classroom

  • iPads for all school classrooms, including dedicated sets for preschool use

  • Computers for teacher classrooms

  • Raptor Visitor ID system

  • New intercom system

  • New fence around playground and football field

  • Cafeteria facelift including repaired walls, new paint and new metal Apache sign

  • Exterior painting of elementary building

  • Playground sports court improvement

  • Teacher funding for classroom upgrades

  • Upgraded network, technology infrastructure and accessories to enhance the learning environment in the classroom (ex, Apple TVs, document stands, wireless ports, Chromebooks, headphones)

  • Continued teacher training for technology and professional development

  • Campus-wide software upgrades

  • Significant contribution to the school’s general fund each year

  • Nest thermostats for heating/cooling efficiency + cost savings

Funds raised at the 2024 Legacy Gala will be used towards campus-wide facility improvements, continued technology support and upgrades.
